CEPM:
The First Version
This is all that is left of the very first version of the Core
English Poem Machine. It was approximately 8 inches square and
was designed to be folded and laminated to itself to form a slender,
stiff pocket-sized model. In 1968, it was exhibited at the Unicorn
Gallery in San Francisco and about 15 years later at the Oakland
Museum as a component in a small object titled: "The Ritual Kit."
It also appears in the book San Francisco Bay Area Art: 1945-1980 by Thomas Albright.
